Purchasing Manager Hi-Tech Manufacture (North Cork. We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to be responsible for the supply of material & services essential for a global electronics manufacturing operation. The Purchasing Manager responsibilities will include creation of a stable material supply chain & to maximize cost efficiency across a multi-regional supply base. Primary Responsibilities. - Annual Budget Procurement plan. - Setting annual cost down targets and monitoring on monthly basis. - Manage / Control Purchasing department expense budget. - Management of key Supplier accounts. - Global Supplier Management for 110 suppliers across 4 continents. - Annual Supplier Contract negotiations for annual €55 million procurement. - Liaise with internal Departments, ie Engineering / Quality, for product launches, LTB, ECN’s. - Management of local subcontractors accounts. - Review Localization targets to reduce procurement cost & risk management supply base. - Employee Training and Development. - Management of Departmental Reports. - Compliant with Environmental & Quality Management system requirements & other regulatory requirements. - Other duties as assigned by the Administration Senior Manager. Requirements. - Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement management in a manufacturing environment. - Electronics manufacturing experience a distinct advantage. - 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline (Chemical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Project Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering) an advantage. - APICS/ CIPM/ IIPMM or relevant materials management qualification an advantage. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and a good understanding of other computer software packages. - Strong working knowledge of SAP a distinct advantage. - Excellent, interpersonal and communication skills. - Strong negotiation skills. - Willing to travel both local & overseas.
