A Controls/ Automation Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based multinational client. Please contact Diarmuid Buckley on 00353 21 4355432 for more information. THE ROLE: * Support the management of the site Control and Automation Infrastructure. * Design, develop, install and test PLC and control software projects. * Develop and manage GAMP documentation e.g. URS, FDS, FAT, SAT etc... * Participate / lead projects, provide technical support and make informed decisions on hardware and architecture selection. * Fault find complex automation equipment and provide coaching and support to maintenance personnel /Junior Engineers. * Develop and manage the site automation/controls network infrastructure and make improvements to ensure it is reliable and robust. * Ensure project design and installations meet the requirement of EU directives such as ATEX and Machinery Directive and CE compliance. * Provide input to Process Excellence projects. REQUIREMENTS: * BEng Degree in Electrical automation engineering or equivalent, with particular emphasis in the automation discipline. * Minimum of 5 years industry experience ideally in an FDA or GMP environment as an automation controls engineer. * Experienced with SCADA and Intouch along with Rockwell PLC and Archestra Wonderware systems or similar. * Experienced with the RsLogix Rockwell package and Rockwell controllers: PLC-5, SLC-500, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix or similar. * Experienced with Siemens S7 Controllers or similar. * In depth knowledge of automation network protocols including EtherNet IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Modbus and Profibus. * Knowledge of ATEX directives/ ETCI regs ,IEC and EN standards.
