Function: Manage Individual Project in the Pharma / Biopharma / Petrochemical Industry. Responsibilities / Duties: Manage various projects that may arise either locally or abroad as is deemed necessary by company management. Be responsible for the safety management of the project and the safety performance for all areas of the project and ensure all recommendations from safety advisers are implemented. Constantly monitor the labour required on the project to achieve best efficiency. Maintain quality output from site and implement any recommended improvements proposed by the Quality Manager / external audits. Mentor engineering staff and supervisors to ensure the smooth running of the project. Prepare tenders / estimates for a variety of additional works for the project as they arise. Meet with client’s representatives to discuss projects, cash flows, labour requirements and project planning. Be responsible for ensuring the company and client budget estimates for the project are maintained and reporting weekly on spend to date and projecting costs to complete. Person Specification Engineering Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Process Plant & Technology - essential. Project management qualification or experience - essential. Experience in cost control - desirable. Competencies. Ability to work as part of a team. Take ownership and show commitment to the Company. Have confidence in own ability. Personable and good communicator. Cool head. Good decision maker. Capable of solving problems. Ability to assess situations and prioritise accordingly. Effective delegation abilities.
