Deli Manager. The Deli Manager will have a genuine passion for Grocery retail and customer service. Our client are an innovative group with a close relationship with the local community, therefore they are dedicated to providing the highest standard of food and customer service and the Deli Manager will be expected to contribute to this. Job Description. Ensure the Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times. Provide customers with excellent quality products and services. To ensure merchandising and presentation of the department is to the highest standard at all times. Create new product lines to increase sales. Ensure company rules, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. Ensure hygiene standards are to the highest standards including a high knowledge of HACCP. Ensure Goods- In procedures are adhered to. Monitor wastage percentages and GP's. Achieve Sales Targets and Margins as agreed with store manager. Ideal Candidate. A minimum of 3-4 year's experience in a Deli environment. Previous experience as a team lead or a supervisory position. Must possess a keen interest in food prep and merchandising. Must have an innovation and generate ideas to improve sales in the Deli department. Self - motivated. A Team Player but able to work on their own initiative. A friendly outgoing personality is very important.
