The Integrity Helpline Manager oversees the compliance reporting Integrity Helpline process for the company. The Integrity Helpline receives reports relating to financial controls, accounting irregularities and fraud issues as required by Sarbanes-Oxley legislation, as well as other reports of wrongdoing or potential violations of the company's code of conduct. The successful candidate will oversee a fair, transparent and efficient process for the intake and resolution of issues and complaints and will help to implement such processes consistently within the company. The Integrity Helpline Manager will also act as a source of information and referral; aid in answering employee questions; and facilitate the resolution of concerns or critical situations as they are brought to the attention of management. ¿The Integrity Helpline Manager will be responsible for collating and analyzing the information and data relating to matters entered in the tracking system, including reports of trends. ¿These analyses and reports will be provided at least quarterly to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. iCare is a grassroots program that provides a peer resource for employees who have an ethics or compliance related concern or question about related policies or procedures. ¿In addition to managing the Integrity Helpline activities, the Integrity Helpline Manager will also expand and manage the iCare program for the company. This role reports directly to the Director, Global Compliance Programs. Job summary and responsibilities. Manage the day to day operations of the integrity Helpline (intake, triage, assignment, review and closure of concerns raised in the system. Supervisory responsibility for Helpline coordinator.) Develop and manage a program to assess investigation quality and validate corrective actions taken for cases raised in the system. Develop and manage a program to select, train, monitor and coach investigators assigned to workplace issues (harassment, unfair treatment, discrimination etc.) Monitor the effectiveness of the helpline process and implement corrective actions as appropriate to eliminate waste, drive efficiencies and deliver continuous improvement across key metrics. Manage the helpline service provider. Develop and monitor key performance metrics and perform a regular business review with them with a focus on continuous improvement. Stay informed about helpline service providers in the market and perform an annual assessment of the Johnson Controls' partner against market trends and new players in the space.¿ Perform an annual review with key stakeholders to ensure the system continues to meet their needs and that of the business. Develop a community of investigators and host regular round table discussions to facilitate peer mentoring and sharing best practice. Be accountable for maintaining and protecting confidential information and enforcing the company's policy against retaliation for reporting issues or concerns. Analyze and prepare reports on organizational trends and activities relating to information maintained in the Integrity Helpline case management system. As necessary, raise issues of ethics concerns to senior and/or executive management¿ Consult with HR leaders, the forensic investigation team and the legal compliance group as needed to facilitate the resolution of Helpline reports. Manage the iCare program for Johnson controls and ensure that there is a consistent approach to selecting, training, monitoring and supporting representatives globally. Expand the iCare program to all businesses and geographies. #external. Requirements: A reputation for integrity and unquestioned ability to maintain confidences. Demonstrated ability to manage personnel performance and interact with multi-cultural and multi-lingual stakeholders. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. This includes one-on-one communication, as well as formal presentations to senior-level management in large or small groups. The ability to gather information, analyze it with tools such as Excel in a critical and unbiased manner and develop an associated data-based action plan with appropriate prioritization. Strong proficiency with software programs such as Excel and PowerPoint. A skilled negotiator with an ability to build collaborative relationships in order to facilitate issue resolution and drive continuous process improvement. Ability to network at all levels of an organization. Personal and professional maturity. Third level qualification required (5 years relevant work experience would be considered in lieu of this. Fluency in English required. Multilingual capability an advantage. Legal compliance experience desired. Helpline experience would be a distinct advantage. #external.
