"a leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way."- john maxwell. a qc chemist team lead required for a market leading, top ten biopharmaceutical company based in cork . the cork campus specialises in tabletting, solid dose, packaging and distribution of a range of products. the site is a strategically important site within their global operations and has grown consistently since its founding almost 15 years ago. today the site is responsible for tablet manufacturing, quality control, packaging, and the release and distribution of the company's products in the eu and other international locations. excellent opportunity for a team lead to work with responsibility for leading assigned group of staff within the qc laboratories. in this new position the team lead will: supervise qc personnel including organizing and prioritizing daily tasks, performing training and writing performance reviews. act as advisor and mentor to qc team. review data and results of testing to ensure compliance to appropriate specifications and protocols. troubleshoot instrumentation/test methods. develop solutions to moderately complex problems and conducts final reviews, batch releases and certification as per defined guidelines. manage non-routine projects/assignments where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. lead and coordinates reviews and investigations in situations involving deviations from governing procedures and processes. lead and support continuous improvement initiatives. the team lead will require: bs degree in chemistry and minimum 6 years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry. sound knowledge of quality control systems, technical methods and procedures. ability to apply knowledge of current good manufacturing practices (cgmps) and good laboratory practices (glps) on a daily basis. audit and investigation and report writing skills. contact julia at lsc on 021 4777 329 for more details, or apply directly via this advert. this job originally appeared on recruitireland.com.
