We are currently recruiting for an exciting new role which involves working across a number of areas in the business to develop and bring to market innovative new products in the food industry. There are three key components you will be responsible for: market research. management of product development. developing product concepts into a finished branded or private label product. You will need strong commercial understanding ensure that new products meet market price points and are commercially viable to produce and sell. Market Research: Research trends in associated food products and dining trends internationally. Identify new products and concepts in retail and food service internationally which could be developed. Understand local and international customers and potential customers and their product ranges and identify potential market gaps. Product Development. Work with senior management team and sales function to identify if products are best fit for a branded or customer product. Work with R&D and production functions to develop product concepts into finished products. Understand and use a defined stage gate or other similar process to manage a pipeline of products from concept to launch. Coordinate the activities of the relevant internal functions to ensure all required actions are completed to ensure a successful product launch. Marketing: For new products work with branding and design agency to develop packaging and other branding requirements. For existing and new products work with Sales team, branding agency and customers to activate marketing plans. Position the company as the experts on ice cream and desserts by presenting relevant market research and new product ideas to customers and prospective customers. Experience: 3rd Level qualification in Food Science, Food Business, Quality or similar. 2-3 years experience within Food Industry, ideally within consumer Foods.
