Job Description & Responsibilities. ¿ Complete risk assessments in relation to all departments within the business. Health & Safety Administration - maintain up to date records & dates on Health & Safety activities. Arrange & deliver training as relevant on Health & Safety awareness i.e. Fire Wardens, First Aiders, Manual Handling, Ergonomics Assessors, Management etc. Develop extensive knowledge of our industry, equipment and procedures, in order to provide relevant information to employees. Identify potential development opportunities for Health & Safety. Liaise closely with team members to deliver solutions to training or Health & Safety issues; Work closely with HR & Management on personnel and Health & Safety related issues. Monitor safety performance and advise on compliance with our health, safety and welfare policies and the company safety management system. Develop safety documents in conjunction with the responsible person at each of Voxpro sites. Conduct regular formal site audits and carry out inspections as directed in the Safety Management system. Ability to present to the Senior Leadership Team. Communicate the findings of audits to site management. Review & Ensure Voxpro Health & Safety policies are up to date in line with current legislation. Ensure the delivery of Health and Safety inductions for all new employees or contractors working on site. Ensure sub-contractor safety documents are produced and available on site, relevant and in accordance with best practice and current legislation. Ensure Voxpro safety statements are kept up to date on all sites. Advise/assist the Site/Project Management team in drafting and communicating method statements for high risk activities. Support the site management in ensuring the records of statutory inspections are kept for all activities and equipment. Assist in incident/accident investigation reporting and filing. Accompany (when on site) any Inspector from the HSA on a site inspection. Ensure and advise on appropriate personal protection equipment as needed on all sites. Serve as Voxpro representative at site meetings when requested. Organise and chair the site safety meetings in conjunction with senior site management. Attendance at Health & Safety committee required. Compile and communicate site emergency plans. Responsible for ensuring co-ordination of Fire Wardens, First Aiders & Ergonomics Assessors & Manual Handling. Comply with company policy on matters of confidentiality and disclosure of information. Comply with other reasonable requests from senior management on matters of safety not to the detriment of the core duties. Ensure compliance and promote good work practices in relation to Health, Safety and Welfare management system. Delivering and completing statutory notifications to the Health & Safety Authority for the project and all incident / accident reporting and to conduct inspector site visits as required by the Health & Safety Authority. Reporting incidents/accidents to Insurance company. Requirements: ¿ 2-5¿years experience in a Health & Safety role essential. Must hold an official Health & Safety Qualification recognised by the Health & Safety Authority e.g. Level 8 Higher Diploma in Safety, Health & Welfare at Work. IOSH Membership distinct advantage. Occasional (local and/or international) travel may be required as part of this role. It will therefore be advantageous for successful candidates to own their own mode of transport and hold a Full EU/ UK Drivers License. Travel to the Dublin office will be a pre-requisite (approx. 1-2 days a week. Knowledge of European Health & Safety legislation advantageous. This job originally appeared on RecruitIreland.com.
