THE ROLE: As the Materials Manager you will be responsible for the Purchasing, Warehouse, Packaging and Logistics functions. This senior management role with multiple areas of responsibility and focus will suit a customer focused, strong influencer with excellent contract negotiating skills. You will implement strategic sourcing initiatives, and liaise with the Global Supply Chain group on all cost reduction and inventory initiatives. Moreover, you will lead specific information technology initiatives to improve the efficiency of the company's business systems, focusing on but not limited the following key metrics: schedule attainment; safety stock; and manufacturing lead-time. THE FIT: Do you have 5 years experience in Purchasing, Planning and Warehouse management gained in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industries ? Do you have a Degree in Operations or an MBA coupled with a non business Degree? Are you a persuasive leader able to motivate your team to meet and exceed expectations?
