Your Job Purpose. Working with the LotusWorks team as a Project Engineer, you will be an integral part of a project team developing processes for new 3D Printed products at the Cork site. On a daily basis you will work with the NPI team and will interact with the Engineering, Quality, Operations and the Design teams to successfully establish new processes. You will lead many process development activities and work under the guidance of the senior project team members. You will research, develop and implement technologies to develop a robust supply chain. Responsibilities. Design, develop and source tools, fixtures, gauges and special equipment for additive manufacturing processes. Co-ordinate with internal and external partners. Lead NPI development requirements and work with cross functional teams in the Innovation Centre and with the Value Streams. Provide design for additive manufacturing technical input to global design groups to minimise lifecycle cost. Deliver stable manufacturing solutions in line with stability metrics process. Management of R&D test parts and sample requests. Conduct detailed product design reviews. Development of advanced manufacturing processes to lean guidelines. Manage risk management and validation lifecycle for new process or process changes. Management of the Asset Lifecycle for new equipment (URS/RA/IQ/OQ/PQ. Develop strategic collaborations across functions, business units and geographic boundaries to achieve effective outcomes over the long-term. Provide timely and accurate reporting on project activities. Budget Control. Requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Materials/Mechanical/ Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline. Experience in a medical device or equivalent regulated environment. Proven track record of successfully delivering projects. Strong decision making and problem solving skills. Self-motivated, with focus on Quality, Delivery and Cost. Proven Root Cause analysis and problem solving techniques (A3, 8D, TRIZ or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to lead sub teams within a project and give direction to fellow team members, contractors, vendors to complete tasks to a defined timeline. Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes. Desirable. Previous experience in Titanium 3D Printing / Additive Manufacturing. Previous experience in regulated /high tech manufacturing environment. Postgraduate qualification in a relevant technical area. Certified Six Sigma qualifications. Certified Project Management qualifications (IPMA/FPX. Proficiency of GD&T and ASME Y14.5M 1994 standard.
