Position: Sous Chef at The Clonakilty Hotel and The Copper Pot Restaurant & Bar. We are seeking a Sous Chef for our busy hotel in West Cork with The Copper Pot Restaurant & Bar. The Sous Chef is responsible for producing excellent food, creating innovative menus and the daily running of the kitchen and working opposite the Head Chef.This hotel is a busy property and hotel volume / Gastro Pub experience is essential. Our Copper Pot Restaurant will be expanding later this year with a unique dining experience, and this will be the opportunity for an ambitious Sous Chef. The candidate: Creativity and willingness to try new dishes is desired. A passion for working with local fresh produce. Culinary qualification. People management, leaderships and training skills. Must be an excellent communicator both written and spoken. Financially proficient to complete menu planning / costs, stock control etc. Ability to operate a multi function operation between bar, restaurant and banqueting facilities. HACCP trained.
