An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Manager within a highly respected global manufacturer of regulated oral products. Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, direction and coordination of the Supply Chain function and employees to achieve key business objectives. The Supply Chain Manager will manage the supply chain within the plant from raw material sourcing to delivery of the end product to the customer in a timely and cost effective manner to include: Planning the production activities of the plant. Schedule material deliveries on a timely fashion in accordance with approved contract, quality and service agreements. Manage the supply chain, logistics and warehouse team. Liaise regularly with all customers and key suppliers. Manage off-site warehousing activity with third party. Manage supply & demands from and to all packing plants. Manage product registration’s and trials. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed production plans and communicate these plans to all relevant departments and to central supply chain and relevant packing factories. Order and schedule delivery of materials in a timely manner in order to execute these production plans by maintaining an accurate MRP forecast. Optimise inventory levels to meet production and service level goals as defined in the appropriate SLAs. Engage directly with sales units in the formulation and updating of these SLAs. Liaise regularly with all customers through conference calls, Webex or visits to ensure their requirements are met. Submit weekly and monthly inventory / KPI reports. Assist the finance department in preparation of RF submissions. Participate with the management team in the overall operation of the factory in accordance with quality, cost and service objectives. Manage the department team - motivate, organise and support them in meeting productivity and service targets. Co-ordinate training of staff and monitor their performance and development. Maintain and update accurate SKU information on the local IT system. Co-ordinate all new product introductions, including recipe and design changes. Ensure that all raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-progress and finished goods are stored in a hygienic, safe and secure manner. Maintain regular contacts with all key suppliers to ensure goods are delivered in a timely manner in accordance with quality specifications. Drive correct usage, maintenance and development of all Supply Chain systems. Participate in investigating and responding to customer complaints. Drive systems and processes to eliminate customer complaints. Ensure the highest standards of product quality, integrity and hygiene are achieved and improved daily. Maintaining positive working relationships and ensure effective communication at all levels. Ensure all work areas and equipment within your control are regularly and properly maintained. Work with HR in relation to talent management, people engagement strategies and employee relations issues. Contribute to the overall department performance plan in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation and Environment. Responsible for Internal Controls as assigned to you by the Internal Controller. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a supply chain/logistics/planning management role within a fast paced, high tech and high volume pharma/food production environment is essential. Proven track record (3+ years) in managing complex strategic vendor and/or business partner relationships. Third level qualification in Business or related discipline with an emphasis towards Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, Manufacturing. Strong understanding of planning, scheduling and inventory control policies. Strong knowledge of freight, customs and VAT. Excellent communication and negotiation skills combined with very strong business acumen. Strong problem-solving and decisive, analytical aptitude. Supply Chain Systems & SAP knowledge along with proficient use of MS Office tools. Proficient numerical ability to record interpret and analyse key process data. A professional manager and leader with the highest standards of integrity. Strong project manager who delivers the highest quality results within budget and on time. Strong work ethic required with evident enthusiasm for the role. A team player who can galvanise support for achieving key objectives. Capable of taking the lead in change and seeking out improvements. Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of employees. Mature and stable personality who can manage stressful and challenging environments. Strong support for high quality and hygiene standards. Logical and methodical approach to work practices and processes. Good reporting writing and numerical skills. Clear thinking individual who can resolve issues on their feet, decisive personality. Ability to communicate clear objectives and motivate staff to achieve more is the key to success for this role. Type: Full Time, Permanent.
