Our Cork based client are currently recruiting for a Network Systems Specialist ton join their team. The Control System Network & Security Specialist is responsible for the administration and security of the Process Control Networks (PCN) which includes the Road Loading Network, DMZ Network and PCN Firewalls and all associated applications. Ensures that Process Control Network equipment, software, and hardware up to date with patches, antivirus, and software versions. Responsibilities. Network Administration. The Control System Network & Security Specialist is the 'system administrator' for the Experion process control network and the Road Loading Network and will administer access rights for all components of these networks. The components include Servers, Workstations, Switches, Routers and Firewalls. Responsible for PCN Topology and. Architecture design, specification, configuration, testing, start-up, and system support. Owner of the PCN & Road Loading Network Industrial Control System Management Manuals. Assist in Server & Workstation Hardware troubleshooting & Fiber Network Administration. Network Maintenance. Maintain back-up procedures to avoid data loss on system component failure. Work with Operations-Maintenance to establish appropriate maintenance procedures for the refinery Automation Systems, and to ensure adequate spare parts provision. Build and configure Real Time Data Interfaces on the PHD system as necessary. Build individual or bulk load DCS tags to the PHD system when needed. Review, test, and deploy migrations to the PCN's Operating Systems. Refining Cyber Security. Owner of the Site PCN Security Policy. Work with the A&APC Lead to assist in developing and providing the technical and strategic direction for Industrial Control System (ICS) cyber security initiatives in Refining. Assist in identifying technologies, policies, and best practices to drive measureable and sustainable cyber security protection improvements of the refinery's ICS. Develop firewall rules as required to support refining applications and systems located in the DMZ. Perform annual Firewall rule reviews. Work with IT to keep the refinery Automation systems isolated and secure from external Cyber Security threats and risks. Implement critical windows vulnerability patches as necessary. Ensure PCN antivirus & Service Pack definitions are current on all machines. Maintain operations logon security & training profiles. Ensure governance on Physical Security to equipment rooms, Control Rooms, RIBs & Engineering rooms. Applications Support. Provide support for the Refinery PCN applications such as but not limited to Experion PKS, Uniformance PHD, Dynamo & Matrikon Alarm Management, Profit Suite, DOC3000 & DOC4000, Fuel Facs etc. Understanding the requirements and interactions of software applications in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and on the PCN. Consulting Services. Act as a point of contact with GIS for the interfaces between the Business LAN and the DMZ network. Provide design, construction support and start-up assistance on automation projects. Provide technical support PCN topology and architecture. Provide support to Project and Process Engineering in review of process control and safety systems design as required. Disaster Recovery. Manages the sites PCN Disaster Recovery Plan. Establish, maintain and test disaster recovery procedures for process control systems. Troubleshoot the PHD Historian when required. Supervise Control System Upgrades. Education: 5 years plus in Network Administration. Be Degree Qualified. Personable, friendly. Great attention to detail.
