Leading Irish multi-modal freight and logistics group now seek to hire a Sales Director for their Cork operation to lead the sales drive in the Munster region. This is a crucial role and an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking to progress their sales career within an established organisation. Duties & Responsibilities: Take personal responsibility for the acquisition of new business from large corporate organisations spanning all business sectors. Achieving budgeted sales & margin targets within each line of business. Take leadership responsibility for driving sales in line with company strategy, goals and culture. Leverage off existing client relationships to enable the organisation to diversify into other markets (on line direct selling capability. Prerequisite Requirements: The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and be operating at a senior level within the Irish freight and logistics industry in a Senior Business Development position. Have a relevant track record of delivering high-value contract sales together with proven experience, demonstrable gravitas and contacts for new business acquisition. Excellent negotiator with strong commercial and financial perspective. Sound understanding of marketing principles and practices that will maximise incremental sales opportunities. Up to date understanding of appropriate computer applications to bring efficiency within a faced paced and constantly changing business environment. Terms: Full time permanent. Package: €Neg.
