Fashion Retail Merchandiser. Our client a large fashion retailer has an exciting opportunity for an experienced retail merchandiser to accurately predict and monitor sales trends and accurately control stock level and correct stock allocation to different stores. Ensuring that stock is traded at the highest margins within the shortest period of time. Reporting to the Head of Merchandising the successful candidate will have a min of 5 years’ experience in a similar or assistant merchandising position. Responsibilities: Liaising closely with the buyers. Ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time to maximise sales and margin performance. Decide which products stores should stock. Ensuring that the correct mix of products are stocked and displayed, in order to achieve greater sales and maximise profits. Liaise closely with buying and store operations teams to make sure the stock is properly monitored and available. Stopping underperforming lines and increasing the stock of those products that are proving popular to maximise sales. Communicating closely with buyers, store managers and suppliers. Deciding which products should be stocked for each type and size of store. Gathering information regarding customers' reactions to products. Accessing and analysing sales information. Forecasting sales and profits, and planning budgets. Monitoring slow sellers and ensuring that best sellers are meet their full potential. Requirements: 5 years’ plus in a retail merchandising role or assistant merchandising position. Excellent communication skills. Very strong analytical and financial ability.
