Skechers Retail Ireland is currently seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant for its finance department in Little Island, Cork. If you are a qualified technician or equivalent and have a track record working in a busy accounting environment this is an excellent opportunity to develop a rewarding career with a highly successful retail group. The successful candidate will report directly to group Financial Controller and will be responsible for assisting with the efficient running of the finance department. An attractive market remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate. Key Responsibilities • Monthly sales entry. • Weekly bank reconciliations. • Promptly dealing within incoming supplier queries by email and phone. • Process, review and upload purchase invoices. • Imports into Sage – invoices and receipts. • Process and upload bank payments. • Monthly supplier reconciliations. • Weekly supplier payments using IBB. • Process petty cash and expenses. • Intercompany reconciliations. • BI monthly VAT Returns. Essential Requirements • Experience of Sage Accounts 50. • Experience in a busy accounting environment (retail experience would be an advantage. • Excellent analytic skills, with strong attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills. • Quick learner with the ability to work to high standards and tight deadlines. • Excellent PC skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel. • Team player with the ability to organise and prioritise workload. • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to meet weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines.
