Our Cork based client currently have an open position for a Financial Analyst to join their team. This is a 9- 12 month contract role. Responsibilities: Accountable for the validation, analysis and reporting of monthly financial performance for IOWRL. Provide pro-active and comprehensive business analysis, metrics, financial advice and performance measurement to the Refinery Leadership Team to support decision making. Coordinate activities to prepare and monitor financial plans, including the long-range plan, business plan, cash and earnings forecasts, and operating cost and capital expenditure forecasts. Coordinate the collection and analysis of Solomon data. Provide mentoring and guidance to less experienced staff. Use knowledge of the business to ensure quality control over data. Drive the optimal use by the business of Oracle and JDE and other management reporting tools. Provide ad-hoc financial information and project support as and when required. Provide back up to the Product Accountant. Requirements: A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA i.e.: ACMA) with 3 years PQE. Good knowledge of IFRS. They should be a self starter, capable of thinking and working independently. Strong inter-personal and influencing skills. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Team player with the ability to drive a successful team based approach. IT skills - particularly Excel & SAP or Oracle. Ability to mentor effectively.
