Our client, a global leader within the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Program Manager for it’s Cork branch. The Role: Our client is experiencing rapid sales growth of its products and solutions within the Logistics industry. The Program Manager will work closely with multiple teams including the Logistics Sales, Project Solutions & Services, Engineering, Procurement, Production, Order Administration and Customer Service, to ensure customer orders are met on time and to the agreed specification. The PM is responsible for providing regular reports to various stakeholders as well as management. This person is responsible for managing the Operations department functions for multiple parallel projects. This role is not a logistics role, it is a program management role to support growth in sales to the Logistics marketplace. Essential Functions: Establish and maintain regular, scheduled communication with purchasing, finance and operations management and update internal customers on order status. Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects and backlog whilst implementing any corrective actions to realign to needs and deadlines. Convert Logistics Sales, Customer and Logistics Solutions & Services requirements into detailed fulfilment plans and coordinate cross-project activities. Assume responsibility for the sales order backlog, equipment & labour resources, customer communication. Prepare & maintain production documents, such as standard operating procedures, manufacturing records, inventory reports, productivity or shipping reports. Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures. Prepare and manage new part releases (project specific) as required. Develop queries, reports and charts for management of operations. Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities. Apply change, risk and resource management. Resolve projects’ higher scope issues. Prepare reports for Sr. Management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods. Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles. Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position. Knowledge of supply chain and sales operations planning processes. Knowledge of production environments and order fulfilment processes. Strong analytical skills is essential. Results driven, self-motivated, excellent communicator. Outstanding leadership and organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving ability. Preferred Education and work experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in management or a relevant field. Project Management certification. Experience with Microsoft Office (intermediate level Excel is minimum requirement. Working knowledge of program/project management software (Liquid Planner; MS Project) is a strong advantage. SAP experience is an advantage. 3+ years of experience in a program/project manager or production planner/manager role is preferred. Package: Negotiable. Terms: Full Time, Permanent.
