CareerWise Recruitment requires a Lead Manufacturing Technician for our Cork based client. A leading company seeks a Lead Manufacturing Technician to provide technical leadership for a team in a high volume, highly automated cleanroom production environment. Our client is based in North Cork and within commutable distance of Tipperary, Limerick and Waterford. THE ROLE: As Lead technician, you will direct the technician team while targeting key performance goals in terms of equipment reliability, yield improvement and increase machine utilisation. You will support daily engineering requirements and respond in a timely manner to maintain and support production. Moreover, you will work with cross-functional teams to develop and improve current standard operating procedures (SOP) targeting safety, product quality, equipment maintenance and production output. REQUIREMENTS: As the ideal candidate, you will hold a relevant 3rd level qualification with excellent equipment knowledge and process debug troubleshoot skills. You will have the ability to build and motivate a team and demonstrate good leadership qualities. Other criteria include the application of analysis to problem solving, as well as an understanding of 6-sigma belts and/or experience of lean practice implementation. Experience of Medical Device Manufacturing or previous employment within another regulated industry is highly desired for this role.
