Our Client in North Cork is looking to hire a Lead Buyer in the Consumables area on a permanent basis. The role will be responsible for ensuring spending is effectively leveraged. Working with a significant budget, the ideal person with have confidence and experience to ensure effective results. The Role. Ensuring purchasing budget is effectively leveraged. Managing a significant budget (excess of 10 million. Liaising with buyers across the business. Buying within the Consumables area. Negotiating with Suppliers to achieve effective results for the business. Actively looking at ways to ensure Continuous improvement. Measuring key Supplier contract performance on a monthly basis across all the critical procurement parameters. Maintain the end-to-end procurement process from the price catalogue through to monitoring and reporting on the budgetary impact of transactions. Requirements. 8 years + previous experience within a busy manufacturing environment. Degree qualified. Membership &/or certification of IIPMM or APICS. Experience working with significant budgets.
