Job Description. Responsible for the sourcing, preparation, integration, validation and release of wheel alignment specifications to a wide customer base including car manufacturers and independent businesses who need to keep their aligner equipment up-to-date to support the latest makes and models in worldwide markets. Responsibilities. Source, distil and transform wheel alignment specifications data for latest makes and models in worldwide markets through a wide range of contacts and source formats. Enter specification data to a central database via proprietary computer applications according to strict documented guidelines. Proactively keep up to date with latest technologies, innovations and standards in the world of Wheel Alignment (cars and trucks) across worldwide manufacturers’ offerings. Review repair manuals, text descriptions and graphics. Understand global car markets. Utilize SQA best practices to ensure the customer receives the highest quality product possible. Create and run test cases to ensure correct functionality and data integrity. Automate test cases using tools such as MTM, Ranorex or similar. Manipulate data for reporting form and importing into an SQL database. Track progress, schedule, issues and customer care metrics on an ongoing basis via established computerized tools and applications. Communicate with prospective sources or customers across the world via email or phone (on a daily basis) or occasionally face to face. Summarize and escalate progress and issues to team manager. Document features, coverage, tests passed and failed as required. Interact with team members on a daily basis to ensure all deliverables / releases are met on time and to highest quality. Office based with the possibility of some travel. Qualifications & Experience. Degree in Engineering/ Computer Science and /or Automotive qualification and/or keen interest in the automotive Industry and automotive technologies (undercar) is essential. Excellent computer skills (MS Office and Windows XP and Win7) are required. Experience in working with databases (Access, SQL, Oracle) is an advantage. An interest in computer graphics and authoring light HTML content would complement the skill set. Investigative skills in analysing source data, and keeping up to date with innovations and trends in the area of Automotive Wheel Alignment. Keen eye for detail and accuracy – driven to deliver uncompromising quality. Excellent written and verbal skills in English. Self-Motivated and customer satisfaction driven. Proven experience in dealing with front line customers is a distinct advantage. Track record in meeting zero-tolerance schedules. Strong team player at office, regional and customer level.
