Tax Manager. Cork. Our client a leading Accountancy firm based in Cork, are looking for a Tax Manager for their expanding tax division. With responsibility for managing the tax affairs of a broad portfolio of clients, you will report at partner and director level the role offers a wide range of experience and opportunity for a suitable candidate, with excellent exposure to both compliance and consultancy projects across all tax heads. You should have a number of years’ experience within the tax department of an accountancy firm, with a recognised qualification either accounting or CTA/AITI. You should be comfortable in handling tax planning/consultancy assignment across all tax headings and demonstrate reasoned judgement. We are seeking an ambitious candidate who can deliver technical tax solutions in addition to developing new business from existing and new target clients. Consultancy & Planning. Reviewing audit files for Tax points; identifying and advising on tax planning opportunities. Liaising with Auditing/Accounts Department on matters involving compliance and statutory filing. Completion of ad-hoc consultancy transactions /projects and research as required. Researching technical tax issues for the partners. Compliance Responsibility for ensuring the firm’s clients comply with their corporate and personal tax requirements. Organisation of work schedule to meet all deadlines. Reviewing and filing returns for Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Capital Acquisitions Tax. Liaising with Revenue Commissioners. Client Management & Business Development. Acting as a client contact on tax matters; attendance at client meetings; maintaining and developing client relationships. Other. Managing tax staff, mentoring and contributing to on-going training.
