A Senior Finance Manager -Operations is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based multinational client. THE ROLE: * Supports the strategic planning process that sets the financial direction for Cork site. *. Be an active member of site leadership team that drives improved business performance over time. * Manages and coordinates reporting activities (i.e., planning, budgeting and actual results); ensures policy and procedural compliance regarding accounting, tax, internal audit and other matters; * Directs and coordinates the analysis and appraisal of business information intended to improve operating results;. * Leads a finance team and their development. Drives continuous improvement in investment proposals, analysis and forecasting of operating results. * This role is viewed as a business strategist and business controller for the site. REQUIREMENTS: * The ideal candidate will be a Manufacturing Finance Expert and will be a qualified accountant with 6-10 years post qualification manufacturing experience. * Accounting, financial controlling and consolidation knowledge (local GAAP, IFRS), * Leadership skills, team building skills, strong communication skills, * Strong analytic skills, strategic thinking, change management skills and experience in organisational restructuring, relationship building/networking skills, * * Oracle/SAP know-how and thorough understanding of systems. * The candidate ideally will have experience in the Life Sciences/Pharma Medical Device industry and experience in virtual/matrix organisations.
