PE Global are currently recruiting a design engineer for one of its clients in Cork. This is a permanent role. Please call Catherine on 0214297900. Responsibilities of the role: Reports to Operations Manager. Support design function on new and existing projects. Assist in planning & prioritising of Design Centre Work Schedule unless otherwise requested. Responsible to ensure all samples meet expected quality standards. Point of contact for CSI/Sales on new design projects. Point of contact for Production & Logistics on sample run status. Adhere to Design Centre Paperflow/ process flow. Assist with Engineering Change Orders for Ireland i.e. documentation control, advise all relevant parties, create and upload new drawings, swap out old drawings. Assist with Tooling Layouts & maintenance i.e. documentation control, advise all relevant parties, create and upload new drawings, swap out old drawings. Support with Tooling quotes & maintenance i.e. prepare layout and quote requests, forward quote to customer service. Support the creation and issuing of Ireland Production Drawings. Customer Point of Contact on design when Customer visiting Design Centre. Responsible for relevant Design Centre updates to Customer Service & Production. Responsible for implementing Quality Control Systems. Assist with Design Centre supplies stock levels maintained - blades, stationery etc. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements (ISO Quality and Environmental, Health & Safety etc.) Support maintenance of all Test Lab & Design Centre Equipment :- a. All calibration, b. CAD table and calibration logs to be maintained c. Computer equipment & software to be maintained and kept up to date d. ensure used in compliance with Health and Safety Requirements. Assist with CAD Table Operative training & documentation sign off e.g. Training checklist. Assist with Project Work in Design or Design related activities in conjunction with US Team. Attend classes or seminars as required. Perform other duties as requested by management. Education and experience : Degree qualified in Engineering Discipline. 2 years experience in Engineering/Technical Design in fast moving manufacturing environment. Solidworks experience essential. PC literate Autocad. Customer Focused. Experience in packaging design advantage. Strategic Thinker for dynamic creative environment. Enthusiastic – interest in packaging innovations and materials.
