Sigmar Recruitment have an urgent requirement for an Electrical Automation Technician to work with our prominent client. This is a fixed term contract position based in Cork. The overall purpose of this role will be to participate in electrical and automation projects. You will provide technical expertise by the design, control panel fabrication and installation of safety related control systems. Core Duties & Responsibilities: PLC modifications and troubleshooting. Reviewing and updating electrical drawings. Supervising and assisting all electricians during panel building. Site supervision during the installation of projects. Taking ownership and executing of panel building and installation quality protocols. Provision of technical support to customers. Skills & Attributes Required: National Craft Certificate (or equivalent) within electromechanical, electrical or instrumentation discipline. 3 years solid experience within automated machinery or process industry. Exceptional problem solving skills. Must be able to work on own initiative. Proven experience with electrical CAD packages a strong advantage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
