An IC Product Quality Engineer , is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based multinational electronics client. Please contact Diarmuid Buckley for full details. THE ROLE: * Work with IC design and Product Engineering to ensure every aspect of New Product release is carried out properly. * Create FA plans to direct the analysis of IC customer return samples to determine root cause of their failure. * Write and perform reliability/qualification plans for new/improved products and processes. * Evaluate electrical, thermal and mechanical characteristics of integrated circuits, components, sub-components and systems to determine root cause of failure. * Compile data and reports for regularly scheduled NPI project review meetings. * Signoff approval responsibility for new product introduction (NPI. * Design and conduct technical experiments, analyses or tests pertaining to the development of new methods, processes or standards, modification of current material, component, or process specifications, and resolution to moderately complex technical problems. * Incorporate learning from failure analysis group into NPI release to continuously work towards zero quality escapes/zero customer returns. * Cooperates with other departments in preparing documentation, and in establishing uniform design, materials, equipment or process specifications. Verifies manufacturing and quality aspects of documentation. REQUIREMENTS: * BS degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering with minimum 4 years experience in the area of semiconductor quality engineering. * Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication and knowledge of semiconductor device operation, parametric measurement techniques, and solid state failure mechanisms is desired. Experience working with GaAs an advantage. * Experience and knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing both front end and back end a distinct advantage. * Ability to take a schematic, layout, and failure signature of a new device and take all steps necessary to identify the failing circuitry. * Flexibile to travel internationally to support customer product Qualifications.
