Engineer with be part of a commercial team focused on increasing demand by maximising the potential of the existing networks while seeking opportunities to expand and diversify into new areas through research and innovation. Innovation is crucial to the continuing success of this organisation seeking new and alternative applications for energy utilisation, integration of renewable and alternative sources of energy, and other novel commercial business opportunities to support the organisation into the future. The Engineer will coordinate collaborative projects both with external stakeholders and internal departments, and will assist in the development of business plans and assessments. Engage with various external stakeholder groups such as technology centres, research institutes, academic organisations, state bodies, and commercial developers in the identification and development of innovation projects that may support resolution of specific technical challenges, or progress technology readiness of topics towards commercialisation. Degree with knowledge, understanding and experience of the Energy Industry and Markets. Experience in Research, Design, Development & Demonstration is an advantage. Experience in New Product or Service Development is an advantage. Direct experience in the implementation of improvement programs, quality initiatives and management system standards.
