We are currently recruiting a Global Procurement Manager to join our team in East gate, Cork on a permanent basis. We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo's mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. We are at the heart of PepsiCo products, sourcing ingredients to manufacture more than 1,200 recipes for our brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Packaging category globally across all PGCS sites as well as associated productivity and continuity of supply. The total category spend globally is approx. $55MM with HDPE containers as it's single largest sub category. The role has 1 direct report within the team. Principal Accountabilities: Work with the Packaging Director and the Global Technical Packaging Manager to develop and implement optimal strategic sourcing strategies for the Packaging category. Building the Annual Operating Plan in coordination with the regional and local procurement managers and manage forecasting quarterly and PPV oversight. Maintain and communicate global pricing to plants on a quarterly or as needed basis. Prepare pricing information for Annual Operating Plan, provide quarterly forecasts. Drive productivity delivery for global Packaging category through cross-functional and strategic sourcing. Identify impact of PGCS strategic projects and transformation and deliver packaging capability to enable them on a timely basis. Leverage Global Procurement MSO's and the COE for optimized pricing across the globe. Market and supply analysis including and cost trends to identify and manage risks and opportunities. Tracking supplier performance and working with suppliers to improve performance. Ensuring a robust Business Continuity Plan in collaboration with the Technical Packaging Manage is developed and executed. Collaborate cross functionally (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Technical Services) to support the organization's productivity and global standardization/harmonization objectives and represent the Packaging agenda to the functions. Year-end price negotiations and contracting. Policy compliance with bidding and commercial terms and provide commercial governance to the Packaging category. Lead all Packaging bids, analysis and awards for centrally managed items. Manage the packaging analyst and leverage them against the packaging agenda. Lead and influence plant procurement professionals regarding business objectives, work plans, and standard/best practice tools. Through these resources assure lowest total cost ownership for the assured supply to clients and customers. Work with Global Technical Packaging Manager to leverage subject matter expertise regarding commercial and technology market/trends so as to advise internal users of the category (materials or services) to generate cost savings and value to bottom line. Interface with strategic suppliers to solve problems involving pricing, supply assurance, supplier performance, or any other matters that may arise. Ensure appropriate risk management and audit frameworks effectively executed to assure supply. Essential Skills: Strategic focus with the ability to analyse, formulate, and implement procurement and category strategies to significantly reduce costs and assure quality. Well-developed negotiation, influencing, facilitation and problem resolution skills. Strong financial and analytical skills (both for internal planning and for supplier analysis. Demonstrable track record in leading Category Sourcing and delivering challenging projects. Experienced in operating effectively in global / multi-site environments and having cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from all cultures. Track record of cross functional collaboration and proven ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and monitoring processes. Strong business alignment skills at all levels of the organisation. Proven ability to translate complex projects to succinct business messages gaining engagement and endorsement from business. Excellent effective written and verbal communication and influencing skills. Ability to multi-task, meet critical deadlines and balance multiple priorities whilst maintaining a strong eye for detail. People management skills. University degree, engineering or business based. A Masters or MBA would be an advantage. 5 years procurement experience in a global complex environment. Direct material procurement, with strong governance, risk management and relationship management experience. Packaging especially industrial packaging category experience an advantage but not mandatory.
