Operations Director Investor Services (CORK. Our client is a leading provider of Outsourced Private Equity Investment Services across the UK and Europe. They are currently recruiting for this key post at their new office in Cork. With established offices in London, Guernsey and Switzerland they employ close to 200 people across the business. They are are currently going through a sustained period of growth at their base in Cork having recently moved to new offices located within walking distance of the City Centre. The successful candidate will need to have a proven track record in a similar sector of the financial services industry. Joining the business in Cork our client is looking for an experienced professional who is a logical problem solver. A hands on ambitious professional is required to take on this key role managing the team and supporting the latest internal and "game changing" developments within the company. Managing the weekly investment kpi reports, ensuring a compliant process at all times, the successful candidate will bring a high level of energy enthusiasm and strong management skills to this key post. PURPOSE: Execute the duties of the role diligently and professionally. Deliver the company Client Charter. Act in accordance with the company Code of Conduct. Support and foster collegiate and friendly interpersonal relationships at all levels. Support the creation of the Investor Services business. Manage and continuously improve the delivery of efficient service in line with processes. PEOPLE: Recruit and retain productive staff who adapt well to the company culture. Monitor and maximize the productivity of all staff. Ensure that all staff are working within the specified processes. Identify training needs and ensure that these are completed within agreed timescales. Actively encourage a culture of continuous improvement through new ideas. PROCESS: Own the definition of processes. Ensure that all activity reflects a defined process and is undertaken within its parameters. Continuously improve the efficiency, control and client service of each process. Act as the central point of contact for all procedural questions. Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure that processes reflect ongoing legislation. SYSTEM: Maximize the use of technology in all processes in order to control risk and improve efficiency. Understand the system design and how it is applied. Act as the central point of contact with the group IT support. Suggest and specify technology improvements in pursuit of efficiency. MANAGEMENT: Deputise for the Service Director and Service Managers in their absence. Control daily work allocation in a transparent and efficient manner. Measure and report staff performance using well considered indicators. Control the efficiency and timeliness of the invoicing process in order to minimize debtor days. KEY RESULT AREAS: Competent and knowledgeable team who meet or exceed clear efficiency and performance metrics. Continuously improving systems and processes that are understood by all staff. Controlled activity feeding clearly to an invoicing process with minimal debtor days. STAFFING SPECIFICATION: Fluent spoken and written English. Presence and confidence when managing staff. Methodical with an organized approach to work. Self starting and capable of working with light supervision. Extensive Management experience within the financial services sector. TARGET VOCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BIG 4 Accounting background. Bachelor’s degree and professional qualification in law, accountancy or administration. AML qualifications desirable but not essential.
