To support its future plans, Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind is seeking to appoint a Head of Fundraising and Marketing to lead the organisation in the strategic planning, development and management of generating income on an annual basis in order to support the vision and strategic objectives. Reporting to the Chief Executive and working as an integral part of the leadership team, the appointed person will develop and empower a dedicated team across fundraising, marketing. As a key member of our Senior Team, you will shape and lead our fundraising and marketing strategy as well as creating our five-year fundraising strategy. In this key strategic role you will be responsible for maximising income generation to deliver a step-change and actively contribute towards the wider strategic direction of our organisation. The ideal candidate for this position will be third level qualified ideally in sales and marketing, or business disciplines and an experienced leader with a relevant record of achievement in roles including the not-for-profit, public or private sectors. Experience of leading and managing transformation in rapidly-changing environments is important, in addition to the ability to prioritise and deliver on a diverse range of sometimes conflicting priorities. The appointed candidate will have a track record of team leadership and of building team capabilities to adapt to and manage change. Key Responsibilities. Devise and implement a strategy to substantially increase sustainable fundraising income so as the organisation has sufficient funds to deliver its mission. Lead and support the Fundraising team to ensuring collective and cohesive team focused results. Increase overall fundraising income by growing digital solutions, Individual/Direct Giving, Corporate Donations, Trusts and Foundations, and national events. Ensure that fundraising activities are carried out to the highest compliance standards. Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience. Degree or equivalent, in a relevant discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably sales and marketing. A proven track record of leading and delivering change in complex organisations. Compelling communications and influencing skills (written, verbal and presentation skills. Strong business acumen, strategic thinking and focused on operational excellence. Knowledge of the Not-For-Profit sector, particularly sales development. A values-driven approach to work based on integrity and service.
