Financial Accountant - Cork. I have a nice opportunity for a newly qualified or recently qualified accountant to join the Financial Reporting Team in a leading international company. This company has a global financial reporting centre in Cork that provides worldwide finance and tax reporting support across all spectrums. In the role you will learn about compliance and periodic management reporting for a multinational entity, including in-depth substantiation and analysis of key financials for one or more key entities in the corporate group. Responsibilities: Reporting to an Accounting Team Lead, the Financial Accountant will ultimately be responsible for the General Ledger accounting, Balance Sheet substantiation and in the local statutory reporting for one or more entities within the Global Business Service Centre. Some key responsibilities include: Responsible for the timely and accurate review and posting of month end close and accounting transactions; P&L and balance sheet account analysis, review, reconciliation & resolution. Ensure financial records are in compliance with US and Local GAAP. Ownership of KPI delivery, and improvements where required, on a periodic basis. Support Internal and External Audits. Contribute to the team in the successful transition of activity from local entities into the Global Business Services Organisation aligning in some instances with the roll out of the ERP systems solution. Build Strong Working Relationships across the finance and non-finance spectrum. Qualifications: The successful candidate will be a qualified accounting professional with a strong training background in a top tier firm. You may also have some post qualified experience in a multinational organisation in a financial accounting capacity. Some key specifications you should have: ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified with 1 years' PQE. Post qualification experience in a GL/Financial Accounting capacity an advantage. ERP systems exposure -SAP or Oracle experience an advantage. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Identify barriers/solutions to implementing process improvements. Ability to work well in a fast paced target driven environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required. Able to forge strong working relationships with culturally and geographically diverse set of colleagues and suppliers.
