Staff Accountants / Financial Reporting (Cork. Our client is a leading US Financial Services Organisation with offices here in Cork. They are currently recruiting for a number of staff accountants on a contract to permanent basis. The role involves the preparation of financial statements with regulatory reporting in accordance with applicable regulations. The successful candidates will initially start on a 6 month basis with view to extending to permanency. Job Duties in Brief: Prepare annual, semi-annual and quarterly financial statements. Draft financial statement footnote disclosure as required by the financial reporting standards. Prepare annual, semi-annual and quarterly regulatory reports which may include Annex IV, SEC Form PF, Form CPO-PQR, Form SLT & MMIF Return. Maintain effective contact/communication within members of the office and other offices at various levels in the organization. Develop client contacts, when necessary, and be regularly available and responsive to their interpersonal and business needs. Develop strong relationships with internal parties and audit firm personnel. Compose, format and edit routine correspondence and documentation. Suggest methods and procedures for new work assignments, reviewing with supervisor for input or approval. Ability to work overtime (paid) when necessary. The candidate: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. IFRS and US GAAP Investment Fund Financial Statement experience. Advanced knowledge in derivatives. Excellent communication and writing skills. Working knowledge of Excel and Word essential. Asset Management experience in either an Audit Firm, Administrator, Investment Manager or other financial institution desirable.
