Site Accountant (East Cork. Our client is a market leader in the food manufacturing sector. The role of Site Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of Financial Control, Reporting and Governance on site, ensuring the business is focused at all times on maximizing quality throughput, yield efficiency, asset utilization, margin management and cost control. Responsible for the development of reliable and accurate budgets, forecasts and weekly/monthly reports/KPI’s; and in doing so will facilitate key business decisions at Site level and within the Food division. The successful candidate will provide Finance Business Partner Support to the Site management team and wider finance department, Main Duties: Preparation of monthly and year-end management accounts for the facility; Preparation of detailed annual financial budgets and rolling financial re-projections; Provision of detailed weekly financial and non-financial manufacturing KPIs; Identify areas for Continuous Improvement, value add activities and cost reduction, Calculation and Reporting of Material yield variances, Ensure adherence to all relevant financial and risk mitigation business processes and controls, Conduct inventory analysis and controls, including stock audits / cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations, Lead Continuous Improvement and value add activities. Advocate and implement recommended changes. Drive any risk mitigation and business continuity planning initiatives from a site perspective, Represent the site on all interactions required with internal and external auditors or third parties, Participate in additional ad-hoc support and special projects as required. Candidates for this position must possess: Third level qualification in a relevant discipline; Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA); 7 years accountancy experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment; Excellent financial and analytical skills with a strong understanding of the underlying processes in producing and interpreting financial data; A Flexible and Resilient approach, Problem solver with a ‘can do’ attitude. Proven Results orientation, Attention to detail, Ability to deliver to high standards and tight deadlines; Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others at all levels in the organisation.
