Expanding, Dynamic and Innovative Award Winning Artisan food producer is seeking a Food Production Manager for their expanding business in Cork city. The selected candidate will report directly to the Managing Director. Job Description: Full responsibility for production activities including management and planning of the production processes, managing personnel, adhering to quality specifications, maintaining hygiene standards and maintaining an efficient and safe working environment. Role & Duties: Planning and scheduling production operations. Ensuring processes and operations run smoothly including maintaining product quality specs. Implementing HACCP procedures and Health and Safety standards to ensure product quality standards are met. Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to ensure upkeep of a clean and safe workplace. Monitor and report any maintenance issues that may occur. Scheduling Health and Safety and Haccp training. Organising employees. Reporting duties including monitoring process performances. Introduce process improvement measures to increase efficiencies within the production process, without affecting product quality. Liaise with management team regarding development and marketing of new products. Liaise effectively with other departments for implementation of new procedures. Maintain a good working environment for employees. Candidate Requirements: A minimum of 5 years work experience in a food company. A qualification in either Food Production & Product Development and/or Production Management. Candidates with strong experience in this area will be considered also. Knowledge of food production technology and proficient IT skills. Passionate about the Speciality & Artisan food sector with knowledge of this sector. Strong work ethic with the capacity to introduce process improvements. Ability to work under own initiative. Strong communication and teamwork skills in order to ensure a pleasant working environment for employees. Flexible, enthusiastic and innovative. Advantages: Permanent and full time role.
