R.T.Lane Recruitment have a fabulous opportunity for a Facilities Manager with a manufacturing and a continuous improvement attitude. This is a stakeholder management role and will suit someone with excellent 3rd party contract management experience.

Role:

  • Responsibility for setting the facility / utility standard in each site within the campus.
  • Dedicated and focused on delivering and maintaining consistent look and feel of each facility to a standard that promotes employee engagement, meets corporate guidelines and aligned with budgetary commitments.
  • Main contact point across the campus for anything that is facility related.
  • Responsibility for the creation, development and implementation of a facility / utility roadmap to support the growth needs and development of each site.
  • Collaborates with Operations Directors / Plant Managers and other key functional stakeholders to solicit input and strategically align facility/utility requirements with business objectives.
  • Responsibility for ensuring each site is fit for purpose and appropriate to the needs of the business.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement within the facility function to deliver functional excellence.
  • Responsibility for functional excellence through facility service contract management, implementation and on-going development of associated governance process, to set and communicate expectations, development and monitoring of key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement and cost efficiencies.
  • Responsibility for the delivery of any facility related projects, associated overview governance process, CER justification/approval and stakeholder engagement.
  • Responsible for stakeholder engagement through the use of appropriate channels of communication to ensure that stakeholders are aware of facility related activities.
  • Facility process owner with responsibility for the creation and development of all facility related processes, systems and procedures across the campus, develops and promotes standard approaches across each site, to allow for leverage and associated synergies to avoid, eliminate and reduce costs.
  • Develops and manages facility operational and capital budgets.
  • Ensures contractors and third parties are trained to do their work and their training is documented.
  • Build strong relationships with all functions across the campus
  • All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :

  • Degree in engineering qualification, Mechanical or Electrical or equivalent is required.
  • 6-8 years plus experience in maintenance/operations/engineering related functions in a regulated environment.
  • Third party contract management knowledge and experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of results.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage several priorities at once will be required as will a high level of flexibility with a high level commitment to success.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Be commercially aware and enjoy interacting with cross functional teams across the organisation.
  • Passionate about delivery and customer service
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Financial acumen with demonstrated competence in managing budgets.
  • A strong leader with a skill for engaging others.
  • Excellent PC literacy skills required.
