Are you a Buyer / Purchaser looking for your next career move? Hartley People are currently recruiting for a Buyer / Purchaser based on site in Cork with a large regulated manufacturing company. You will be a good all rounder who will operate as a Buyer and also take responsibility for stores management. This is a full time, permanent position with a leading company. The Role. As a Buyer you will: Place stock replenishment orders. Place purchase orders for new and existing products. Provide price quotations and update quaotation records. Work closely with cross functional teams through the buying process. Identify and manage cost improvement initiatives. Liaise with external suppliers, engineering and third party sub-contractors. Issue, receive and manage inventory utilising stock management systems. Use an ERP system for processing sales orders and managing inventory. Monitor and review performance against KPIs and rectify any issues. Look at ways to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. Review all stocking profiles and identify procedures that can effectively be implemented to reduce any related cost. The Person. Must have 3+ years' purchasing experience. Previously worked with ERP systems. Fully proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong negotiation skills. Interested?
