An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Manager of Supply Chain with a leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company in East Cork. This will be a contract role commencing in Jan 18 until July 19. Excellent Rates Apply. Responsibilities: Manages a team of Supply Chain personnel, including organizing and prioritizing goals and objectives in line with business strategy. Organizes workload, prioritizes tasks, organizes training and conducts performance reviews. Collaborate with the International Regulatory team and the Commercial team to develop New Product launch plans for the EMEA region. Responsible for planning, implementing, and initiating activities on multiple projects related to Supply Chain to ensure project deliverable dates and scope are met. Ensure compliance with current regulatory standards and guidelines (administrative, financial, EHS and Quality Assurance ) Collaborates with the Director of Supply Chain on the strategic planning of the group. Leads, monitors, assesses and communicates risks on key Supply Chain projects , provides regular updates to Senior Management. Provides leadership, direction and management of a team, to support execution of the Supply Chain strategy related to Planning and Warehousing Creates and maintains a positive working environment to ensure high productivity, employee engagement and performance. Develops and implements policies and procedures for the operation of Supply Chain activities, ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements are met. Implements and maintains material and production control systems, policies, processes and procedures ensuring that a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Conducts formal business reviews with key suppliers, subcontractors and/or vendors to discuss performance on a regular basis. Manages against contract performance to ensure all KPIs are per agreement Provide insight and feedback to the demand and supply planning processes. Design, develop, and manage all relevant reporting, planning, and dashboard tools. Work closely with other departments in implementing process improvements to achieve plant goals of production output, efficiencies, unit cost and quality. Requirements: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Able to create written communication that is properly structured providing clear, concise messages that draw well supported conclusions. Good organizational and time management skills, including working knowledge of basic project management tools and techniques. Solid working knowledge of the relevant regulatory requirements and guidance from HPRA and FDA Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the financial aspects of Supply Chain operations. Has the knowledge and proficiency across multiple practices within Supply Chain department, to understand, coordinate and communicate across the competing demands of each Demonstrated ability to execute against the strategic and tactical objectives provided by senior leaders both within and outside of the function. Proven ability to successfully interact with other functions on projects that involve negotiation and collaboration with cross-functional peers and more senior management levels. Many years relevant experience in related field and a BS or BA. Experience in pharmaceutical operations/cGMP environment highly desirable.
