Description

Master Data Controller. Determine and deliver the key projects for the Function to support the objectives which add value in conjunction with other internal departments and functions. Continuously evaluate how data is managed by the in relation to customers, suppliers items, formula and recipe maintenance and make recommendations and improvements to the business in relation to efficiencies and effectiveness on how data is handled. Achieve the agreed Business SLA targets for Master Data. Develop, implement and communicate a plan on Data Cleansing – eliminating duplicates, deactivating suppliers etc. Review and maintenance of Master Data Risk Register. Review and maintenance of Master Data Data Register. Optimise the resources provided in terms of reducing waste and using other CI tools and initiatives such as workgroups/AAP’s etc. Keep Master Data Policy, SOP’s, WI’s, Forms and Sharepoint current and reviewed. Participate in and Lead Projects as requested. Oversee all the work of the Master Data Administrator. Maintain, amend and develop Master Data forms and spreadsheets. Provide for Succession Planning and build a strong team. Organise the staffing and management of the Master Data Team. Implement and test integrity of controls in the Master Data process. Develop reporting, KPIs for the Function. Perform UAT as required on changes to ERP. Up to date and accurate information. Timely and consistent follow up with Master Data issues. Optimisation of system functionality. Policies, WI’s and SOP’s are up to date and implemented. Build effective working relationships with internal and external bodies. Completion of projects on time and to budget. Annual KRA’s identified and achieved. Delegate and prioritise work among team members ensuring that set deadlines are consistently met. Monitor and mentor team members, conducting performance reviews and deal with team HR issues as required. Experience Required. Qualification in a relevant discipline and/or 4+ years relevant experience including previous management experience preferred. Previous use of Oracle is essential. Excellent Organisational and Planning Skills. Ability to think outside the box. Desire to achieve and be resilient. Capable of understanding the underlying processes across the full remit of the role. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with people internally and externally. Strong business acumen and commercially aware. Strong attention to detail. Strong computer literacy with particular emphasis on the Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems. Proven track record of strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks and focus on and meet task deadlines. Willingness to assist in a team environment and to adapt to challenges in the course of achieving departmental and Group objectives. A positive and flexible “can do” attitude with self-starting ability and the aptitude to take ownership of work as required and see it through to completion.
