Well established Cork based Global Freight Forwarder now seeks to hire an experienced Field Sales Executive. The newly appointed person will be responsible for delivering the firm's cargo business targets. They will do so by creating demand and achieving sales in a designated geographical area and/or to a specified customer group. The new recruit must fully adhere to given guidelines and policies, by building and maintaining customer relations and developing and executing customer specific account plans, with focus on safeguarding and maintaining business in the short to long term. The Field Sales executive will spend over 75% of his/her time working with customers. Duties & Responsibilities: Create and execute customer specific account plans for all customers within a specified area or specified customer group, including business target setting and defined and written call planning. Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer contact, towards achieving agreed business aims, including revenues and profitability, according to an agreed market development strategy. Develop and consolidate optimal relationships with (potential) intermediaries and customers buying the products of the company. Ensure sales visits are planned in the most cost-effective manner possible and when appropriate liaise with other departments to incorporate other sales leads. Account Management. The new appointee will: Ensure management of named accounts, with achievement of call targets agreed. Ensure an account management plan and profile is in place for each account. Ensure proper SOP’s and account credit limits are in place for each account. Ensure Full compliance with current standards for ISO, AEO, IMB and other relevant regimes. Ensure all activity is logged and managed in the ACT database. Design and manage a quality review process for each account with agreed KPI’s and review periods. Retention accounts. Ensure management of the agreed retention account list with minimum call targets reached. Ensure weekly meetings with department managers to agree customer visits. Ensure all activity is logged and managed in the ACT database. Vertical Industry support. Work to develop a plan for the aerospace industry with the agreed time frame. Work to develop a plan for the energy industry with the agreed time frame. Minimum Requirements: 3-4 years relevant industry experience with strong preference given to knowledge of the freight forwarding and Logistics environment. A sales background would be desirable. Relevant 3rd level qualification. Computer literacy. Set objectives for combinations of products and markets. Develop a monthly Sales Forecast. Monitor Sales Plans being developed by Sales Team. Communicate major forecast changes with Product Managers. Terms: Full time permanent. Package: €Neg.
