A General Ledger Accountant is required by CareerWise Recruitment for a 12 mth contract for our Cork based client. A Chartered Accountant qualification within a Big 4 training environment is required. Typically requires either a BA or BS degree in accounting or equivalent and some years of relevant experience. Experience operating in a Shared Service environment a distinct advantage. THE ROLE: * Big 4 qualified Chartered Accountant with a fundamental understanding of what it takes to operate within a multi-country RTR environment in a multi-national corporation. * Ideally have at least some years business experience and will have held a RTR position in a similar organization operating in several major countries in Europe, with exposure to the United States. * In depth knowledge of general accounting policies and procedures and US GAAP as well as in depth knowledge of local European country statutory and tax reporting requirements. * Strong knowledge of Oracle or equivalent is essential. Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, and Word) required. * Experience of operating RTR processes in a Shared Service Center in a multi-country corporate environment is a definite advantage. REQUIREMENTS: * A Chartered Accountant qualification within a Big 4 training environment is required. * Typically requires either a BA or BS degree in accounting or equivalent and some years of relevant experience. * Experience operating in a Shared Service environment an advantage. * Experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry also a plus.
