THE ROLE: * Project manage workstreams across dairy products, ingredients and process optimisation. * Develop and evaluate both innovation and renovation projects and processes to deliver the Dairygold strategy in line with customer and market requirements. * Facilitate pilot, Moorepark, scale up and production trial plans working closely with other business functions building and agreeing production trial protocols. * Develop relationships with commercial team and our customer base and ensure an insight driven development approach with proactive interaction providing problem solving solutions. * Liaise with Regulatory and Compliance resources to ensure products, projects and recipes conform to current and future industry and target market standards. * Work with Operational Technical and Process colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer, buy in to new or novel processes or products at an early stage. * Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key ingredient and service providers and research bodies eg FHI, DPTC, MTL to incorporate relevant innovative ingredient and formulation developments into current recipes and customer interactions. REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum BSc Food Science or Nutrition with relevant Masters or Phd. * Ideally minimum 3 years industrial experience with a whey/milk powder facility and an understanding of relevant processes and technologies. * Hands on process trial experience in relevant technologies.
