  • Purpose of the Role


    • The role is working on your own initiative and also being a key player in the overland team to offer solutions in a timely and efficient manner to the end customer to ensure all aspects of operation are completed with accuracy and quality.
    • To be a positive face on the company and to develop excellent relationships with customers.
    • The role will ensure that he department operates to "Best in Class" quality standards and in an environment of conscious improvement.
    • Follow all overland procedures.
    • The role is to comply with company health & safety and GDP Pharma Guidelines.



  • Key Results/Accountabilities expected from the Role


    • Day to day operations in busy office environment to include dealing with customers/customs clearance /invoicing/creditors/& other reports and administration duties.
    • Be aware of the importance of following the Good Distribution Practice for Pharma products along all the supply change and following all the SOP concerned with the products, if concerned.
    • Delivery and collection scheduling and dealing with carriers/hauliers/subcontractors and third parties.
    • Foster and develop good relations with both existing and potential customers to ensure retention and growth.
    • Liaise with overseas partners to ensure the department is proactive in providing a quality operational performance.
    • Ensure that all tariffs are kept up to date on the system.
    • Maintaining and/or implementing good working practices & procedures to ensure that the department run efficiently and with professionalism.
    • Proactive participation and adherence to the company QSHE system.
    • Managing your performance via Key Performance Indicators as discussed with your manager.
    • Supporting other operations by having flexibility around working in different locations.
    • Report all non conformities to your Manager.
    • Respond to all queries in a timely manner with accurate and complete information.

  • Experience & Expertise


    • Freight forwarding industry certification. Preferable to have excellent multi modal Freight & Logistics understanding.
    • LTL/ Groupage knowledge.
    • Experience in a similar position in the past and distribution expertise.
    • Experienced in updating the tariffs.
    • Used to work Maintaining and/or implementing good working practices & procedures to ensure that the department run efficiently and with professionalism.
    • Proactive participation and adherence to the company QSHE system.
    • Keen awareness to the cost of quality to an organisation.
    • Delivering excellence in quality and customer service every time.
    • Familiar with managing your performance via Key Performance Indicators as discussed with your manager.
    • Pro-actively look for continuous improvement with the department to ultimately provide the customer with an efficient and professional service.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to escalate internally in a correct manner. Strong written communication skills are crucial.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
    • Attention to detail.
